The story behind Aleph
Aleph, it refers to the place in the universe where all is one. That is the place we tap into when we feel inspired.
Let me take you back to the first time I realised that inspiration from within, tuned into the energy of what you want to create, had such a powerful force behind it. I was working as an art director for a global company, traveling the world—mostly cities—for inspiration. This was an amazing experience, but with all the buzz and cool things going on outside of me, I also lost the connection with the inside. Inspiration came from what other brands were doing, losing some of the authenticity and power of my own.
Me and my partner decided to quit our jobs, sell our house and all our belongings to travel the world. Then, just when we were about to take off, Covid hit. Here we were: no job, no house, and not allowed to travel. We had to rethink and be creative so we build a home on wheels to make us independent while traveling.
With cities being places to avoid during Covid, we travelled through Portugal and Spain, mostly staying in the wild nature. Because we spent our travel money on building the van, I decided to work while traveling.
I feared I would lack inspiration without visiting cities as I used to. But the opposite happened. Being in nature, surrounded by so much abundance in colours, textures, depth, and silence, I could hear a voice within, providing me with a kind of inspiration I had never experienced before.
What I realised later is that I was connecting to the energy of what I was designing for. I had always heard that my designs carried a lot of soul. The office I designed for Secrid would always leave people with an "aah" of how the space felt.
Now this process came to my awareness, and I started to use it consciously.
Aleph, my brand, is born from this journey. It embodies the essence of tuning into the universe's energy, finding inspiration within, and creating with authenticity and power.
